Let me see some I.D.

Ever had your wallet stolen? No?  Here's what you're missing:

1. A search for the phone numbers to cancel your credit cards. (Wasn't that written on the back of your now missing card? Great...)
2. A trip to the bank for a new debit card.  Sigh.
3. An hour of waiting at the DMV - if you're lucky - for a temporary Driver's License.  Shell out an additional $25 for your replacement.   

Preempt Murphy’s Law by having photocopies of your wallet’s contents, and other key documents in your emergency kit should you need to recover your wallet or evacuate your home. 

 

Your To Do: Include copies of the following in a sealed gallon zip-lock bag in your 72 hr. kit:

• ID/Drivers License
• Passport
• Credit/Debit Cards (back and front)
• Health Insurance Cards
• Prescriptions (medication and eye glasses)
• Immunization/Medical Records
• Professional Certificates or Licenses (RN, MD, JD, EMT)

Congratulate yourself on the grief and inconvenience saved by 5 minutes of work and 10 photocopies.
